The object of this puzzle is to get the red square block, from the middle at the top of the frame, down to the middle at the bottom of the frame.
It is not easy!
This puzzle was invented by John Horton Conway, a mathematician, in about 1975, when he was at Cambridge University.
He called it The Century Puzzle because it can be done in 100 moves. Additionally, it can be required that all the other pieces are to be in positions such that, when the whole thing is given a half-turn it looks exactly like the starting position. That takes a total of 150 moves, making it the Century and a Half Puzzle
Each of the ten pieces is made up of 1, 2 or 4 squares.
