Frank Tapson
A Brief Biography
1929Born in Devonport, England
1945Started 5-year engineering apprenticeship in H.M.Dockyard, Devonport.
1951Joined Royal Navy as Engine-room Artificer.
1969Started 4-year Teacher-training course at University of Exeter.
1973Began teaching mathematics at comprehensive school.
1988Went to work at the Centre for Innovation in the Teaching of Mathematics,
based at the University of Exeter.
2002Retired.
Married, with 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren, and lives in Devon.
